Lucinda Neall
Lucinda earns her living training people in communication and motivation, including areas such as management, presentation skills, negotiation and teambuilding. After she became a stepmother and gave birth to a son, she decided it was time to explore the area of adult-child communication. As her understanding grew she began to run courses for other parents. The next step was to think about communication between teachers and their pupils. Whilst observing lessons in schools, she noticed that some teachers responded more positively to girls than boys. This prompted her research into teaching boys and her first book Bringing the Best out in Boys – Communication Strategies for Teachers. Since then she has spent considerable time working with teachers on how to set boys up to succeed and with parents on how to bring the best out of their sons, and her second book, About Our Boys – A Practical Guide for Bringing out the Best in Boys, explores boys' needs at home and in the community. Lucinda is now focussing on how to create strong communities that support families bringing up their children and encourage a mutual respect between generations. To this end she has set up the Creating Safer Communities for All project. |
